As humans we are profoundly complex

We’re a paradox of good and bad, purity and sickness, wholeness and hurt, capacity for love/greatness and capacity for great harm/evil. If you see yourself as un-flawed whilst observing the other’s flaws, you’re screwed. On the other hand, even if you see your own problems but expect your other to be without flaws, again you’re doomed. The key is this tenuous balance: a humble understanding that both individuals are spiritually/fundamentally unwell, fragmented, lacking. Relationships require an acute patience and acceptance of self and other as equally faulty, equally in need of forgiveness and understanding.
