Made alive with laughter

Something's coming, sky is purple; dogs are howling at themselves. Days are changing with the weather, like a rip tide could rip us away.

I push, I pull, the days grow slow into a void that's filled with death and noise.....

This is the eerie sky that preceeded the tropical storm which shut off all our power and preceeded the hurricane that blew us home a few days early.

Bayou St. John preparing for the blast. Tornados make a green/yellow sky. I guess hurricaines make an orange/purple one

The very next day: surveying the damage (after hauling branches to the street).

the pool's an everlivin swamp now. Green, mucky and gross

Now with the power off for two days, we must empty it all. Where can we put milk in humid New Orleans when the kitchen sink is clogged and the milk is rotting? The bayou-- of course.

here I go, it was actually pretty fun.
