woke up b/c it was hot and there were 2 loud bang sounds
long and involved dream. it was a CPA-like bld that doubled as a school and a hospital. i was the nurse of a huge patient, very alert and with-it, and therefore very picky/bossy. "go get help" he told me. I felt that he just wasn't explaining clearly enough, but agreed that I could use help. another nurse came to help and as she was older and getting along better with the similarly aged patient, i left her to check on my other patients whom I'd barely seen. turns out i was also supposed to teach a course in like 5 minutes. char was also a teacher here. we were co-teaching this class, she handed me her book, i ran to my locker, it was all quite chaotic. the other teachers were like char's age.... at some point, it was after City Church, i was with Jamie in SF. It was an outdoor music fest, but it was somewhere downtown, not GGP. We sat on some sidewalk along with thousands, couldn't even see the stage, but weren't concerned about it. Beck was singing from Modern Guilt and some dudes nearby were singing along. I was all sneaking glances at them;) then Conor Oberst started Eagle on a Pole. I was stoked, and started singing along. However, so did the voices of like hudreds of children. We all stopped and looked around and I made some comment to Jamie about how I could actually sing it on key. Frowning. Then some high school girls in leotards with banners and such started doing acrobatics. I may have joined in. They almost dropped one girl on her head. Their outfits were black and hot pink leopard. Some dude with a bird in a cage was there; i think he was related to the annoying patient i had earlier and recognized each other. somehow i'm rushing back to the cpa bldg, though now it's like this outdoor tropical island hut bldg. it's dark. I'm walking to the car to rush back with this man/woman who administrate in the school, and they also were family of my patient; i had to watch what i said. I rushed into a room of like TFA teachers playing cards or planning or something and said "have you seen Charlene!" they said she already left to go home. I was wishing I had called to tell her I was almost back. She took a scooter home. In haste I got a ride with that couple and forgot MY scooter. Was like oh no, how will we get back in the AM. The couple couldn't take us and I guess the scooter was too small for 2. We rode in a buick sedan. there were dark highways. at one point, walking to the car, which was parked along a street, near a park, there was a ghoulish display across the sky. i ran across the street to get a few pics. there were green ghosts and purple ghost cars/cadillacs(?) floating along in a slow steady stream. it was way cool. I was worried about char getting home safely after a long day.
