i wanna fall like a pearl to the bottom of the sea and no one will find us tonight

I work general medicine. which means we see EVERYTHING! (meaning diagnoses and types of people. i am in san francisco after all, diversity is no joke) Being a nurse is exhausting and stretching, physically, emotionally, spiritually.. But you feel like you're really doing something, you know, that matters. or at least you hope it does, and try your best. I think i like it:)

General Medicine keeps things interesting; there's less ego here than in other specialties. The schedule and nature of the job are extreme. Intense long days on, then entire days off. You have to be intentional about balance. Extremely gratifying and draining
